During the President’s address to the assembly, attendees  were encouraged to participate in a demonstration of JRTech Solutions’ ESL line to witness the potential benefits Electronic Price Labels could provide to store owners.  Benefits include reduced labor and associated costs with changing prices, less paper waste and greater flexibility in applying a greater amount of price changes to guard against competitive actions and fluctuating costs.

JRTech Solutions, the North Americam Partner to Pricer Inc., was chosen to provide the ALAM service for Pricer Inc.’s largest North American rollout to date.

A major U.S. grocer has begun rolling out thier entire chain of over 250 stores with Pricer’s line of Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) and JRTech Solutions Inc. will provide the Automatic Label Apllicating Machine (ALAM) services for the project. Each store averages 20,000 ESL’s and the installs will take place at the rate of 1 store per week over a 4 to 5 year term.

JRTech Solutions Inc. is the only supplier of this custom service in North Americae. As well as providing the service of ALAM JRTech Solutions Inc. also builds and manufactures their own ALAM machines. Electronic Price Labels are the next major trend in retail technology and JRTech Solutions Inc. is providing the full turn key service for ESL from sales, installation, ALAM and service for the retail industry.

In fact, before placing this order with Pricer, Soriana had already installed ESLs in over 100 stores. The response from retailers was extremely positive. Live demonstrations of our ESL technology gave grocery owners and store managers a chance to see how they could save money and even generate more profit with an installed ESL system.

Many of the visitors to JRTech’s booth were impressed with the flexibility of Pricer’s ESL technology which not only provides price update information but also relevant store operations information like existing inventory levels for any given product. Additionally, our system’s ability to provide real-time reports on electronic price update transmissions along with a moving graphical representation of price change progress within their store proved to be extremely desirable for retailers looking for consistency and accuracy in their pricing activities.

The readiness of Canadian retailers to implemenet our technology was evident from the generous feedback and requests for follow-up demonstrations in the following weeks. Perhaps the greatest motivator for many of the attendees to finally consider ESL technology was the realization of how economically viable the technology has become over the last several years specifically considering the leasing options currently available in Canada only through JRTech Solutions.

The Grocery Innovations Show, a trade show put on by the Canadian Federation of  Independent Grocers, will allow Canadian Grocery Retailers a chance to see ESL technology in action. The Electronic Shelf Label system offered by JRTech Solutions is controlled by infrared technology which permits two-way communication between the electronic price tag and the store’s price database.
